Master distiller, Philip Moore is the first ever, and only Australian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for Gin Magazine UK. How did this happen?

When you’ve spent over 500 attempts creating a gin to absolute precision and perfection, you have a passion for distilling like no other.  


With a mixture of the finest ingredients, often native botanicals including wild lime and macadamia nut, absolute craftsmanship, and a philosophy of Kaizen, what goes into a bottle of Moore’s Gin is so much more than liquid. Philip has an enduring passion for plants, growing many of his own botanicals and herbs at his Central Coast based distillery, Distillery Botanica, which he then uses to craft his award-winning range.

Philip is the first Australian distiller to win Herb Liqueur of the Year in Germany, gold medals in London and San Francisco for the globally renowned Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and the first Australian to win gold for Moore’s Dry Gin at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, the world’s most prestigious spirits show.
